Gleek is not among the Santa believers, but her second grade class wrote letters to Santa as a writing assignment.

How is Rudolph the red nosed reindeer? How is Mrs. Claus? Do you have any children or grand children? How are you? Is it freezing up there? I’m fine. I’d like a horse for Christmas and a new friend. What would you like? What are your favorite colors?

Hmmm. I know a couple of youngsters this side of the pond who are email-able and similar ages. Perhaps there’s something could be done with e-mail, sort of e-pen-friend style thing? I’ve no doubt such things are common, but I’ve not come across them – mind, I’ve not looked.

I have a niece with a personality much Gleek’s in Alabama as well. I’d of course have to clear it with my sister, but she frequents your blog (Sandra) and would likely be interested in the idea.
Gleek is in 2nd grade this year? She and Pirate might like to exchange e-mails. Pirate is in 3rd grade.
