It is really good to have a friend who will just come and hang out at my house with me while I do dishes and tend to needy kids. This had the potential to be a really grouchy day and instead it was a very nice one.

I have a friend like that. Unfortunately we don’t live near each other anymore, because now she could use me to do the same thing. But at least I was able to distract her with talk about music and comic books tonight over the phone when she needed it.
I love that. My friend betty25_boop is my grouch cure. It takes the days when I think I just can’t handle being mom and housekeeper anymore and gives me a taste of adolescence when there were carefree weeks with nothing to do but hang out with friends. One good friend can make a world of difference.
